smashing pumpkins - perfect

" Gary Peare sez: "I have a modest proposal regarding the following story:"

A federal trial began today in Atlanta over evolution disclaimers in Cobb County schools. A group of parents backed by the ACLU argue that the disclaimers in science biology textbooks are a government endorsement of religion.
"The county put stickers with the following text into the books:"
This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully and critically considered.
"So here's my proposal. Let's allow the religious right to paste their stickers in all the biology texts they want so long as they affix the following text to each and every one of their Bibles:" "This book contains material on Judeo-Christian theology. Judeo-Christian theology offers insight into the origin and meaning of life and is the basis for several of the world's great religions. But it does not encompass the full range of religious beliefs held sacred by members of our diverse American society. Moreover, this material is based on ancient texts, and significant errors may have been introduced through subsequent translations and omissions. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully and critically considered." "

rammstein - engel

rockin out to techno, speeding down the freeway, all the windows down, dancing and swerving around the lanes while laughing crazily. now that is the way to spend a sunday night! ryan is a craaazy driver, and lindsey is hilarious.
ran into liz at safeway while doing grocery shopping, we're going to have a hair dye party tomorrow evening after crew! i'm going to be a brunette!
and of course jamie's party was awesome. four games of pool, won twice. harrison took a hatin' on me when we started playing 3 people, 5 balls each, knock each other's balls out (i forgot what the name of the game was!). he said it as "let's face it. you're the only threat on the table. i get you out, and i can take my sweet time against lindsey." so i was out within a few turns. that butt.
oh, so, coincidence for the night! i mentioned terry while we were driving to jillian's, turns out jamie dated him back when she was 13, he was 16, back before he was all gross and stuff. small world!

soul coughing - lazybones

"i've been downhearted, babe, ever since the day we met."

i love it. primitive radio gods. i'm going to try to find more of their music when i get more time.
so it's been good days lately. friday i hung out with jessika (!!!) who was in town from idaho! we saw i (heart) huckabees, fantastic movie. also hung out with tuey, brenda, josh, jeff. fun times running lights and eating at denny's. yesterday i was up in redmond visiting david and william - david dyed his hair black, and it turned out purple-ish. haha.
today went out to lunch with kathleen and jessika at anthony's! i miss jessika, really. we were screwing around in the bathroom with the 3-way mirror, just being girly and gossip-y. what made me feel especially good was that jessika loved hanging out with everyone on friday. she thought they were nice and lovely. i'll write more later maybe but jamie and ryan are coming to pick me up now.
