portishead - acid jazz and trip hop

so, it took all day to do it, but now i've got a working cd burner! i celebrated by creating a mood mix, full of portishead and soul coughing and radiohead... just lots of fun music to listen to in the dark.
i spent the whole weekend with brent and elaina. it was almost too wonderful for words. two of my favorite people in the world, at the same time. we saw tons of good movies and spent way too much money. and only three days of school this week! what more could i possibly ask for? tomorrow i'll go in, get my transcript, and off my application goes to western. brent drove us through chuckanut while we were up in bellingham, and maybe elaina thought it reminded her too much of home, but i thought it was beautiful. trees and rock cliffs and hidden waterfalls and the ocean. cows and flooded pastures and pirate flags waving from the roofs of college housing. i'm going to try to get into the ridge, but unfortunately, i'm sending my application in pretty late. i probably won't get first pick housing.
all today i sat in my room and wandered around the house. i spent lots of time pouring over scott's book of photographs over the century. there's some sick war photos in there, including this one of a giant well full of human skulls they found in some south-asian country.
i'm procrastinating horribly right now. i've got to write an essay and a mini-report for school, but somehow i just can't find the motivation to do it. sounds pretty normal, huh? instead, i'm just sitting around and waiting for next year to get here.
