oasis - wonderwall

hey yeah, so i got back from elaina's around 3 this afternoon. man, i'm telling you, it was wonderful. really. and 'cause i seem to have a bad case of insomnia today, i'll tell you about it.
friday! i headed out and arrived around 4, but elaina was still in portland. so i met up with david! oh, david is so wonderful. he's moving up to redmond in a week or two, william's moving up to bellevue on the 13th... which means my weekends are going to be spent heading up north to watch endless episodes of gilmore girls with william and practicing my mad cooking skillz from OSC on david. he got into some computer/video gaming school up there that he can't really afford, so he'll be living off ramen and peanut butter. except for what i cook him. and to pay me back he's gonna be super nice to me. yeah man.
so anyway, we drove around long beach for a while, got some ice cream and walked for a while, then hit up subway, where william made me jump by coming up behind me out of nowhere and giving me a giant bear hug. and thennn... oh david and i did something else, i don't remember what, but we met up with william and erin and tasha and some other folks to watch without a paddle. and i knew it! it was a funny movie! brent just doesn't understand. it was fantastic. so we headed back to elaina's, 'cause she was finally home at 9 or so. we all piled into my car, picked up greg, oh and michael was of course over at elaina's when we got there, and headed up to bob's house, which is in the backwoods of nowhere on the beach. of course. and we sort of watched the whole ten yards but no one really knew what was going on, and we had to leave early anyway to get home to make elaina's curfew.
saturday.. umm... right! we took david chinese food for lunch and sat and talked to him down on the docks for a while. then we had to book it back to elaina's to get dressed for the random wedding we'd been invited to earlier in the day. so we dressed up all pretty in skirts and high heel'd shoes and drove up to oysterville to watch this gorgeous mexican girl named carla marry a local rich guy. we got to help her put on her dress, take care of her niece while the photographer took lots of pictures, hold the bridesmaid's bouqets while they did their thing. then we sat in the back with elaina's friend amber and her two flannel-clad guys that she'd brought with her. after the wedding we went back to amber's to see her new house, which was more like a cabin, with all the old religious paraphernalia that got left behind - everything we couldn't understand, amber's answer was "it came with the house!" so off we drove to pick up david, and we were on our way to astoria when we saw another wedding (at the same place i went to prom with matt way back in freshman year.) so we crashed the wedding, and it wasn't anything special, really. lots of people walking around with plastic cups of cheap beer, bubbles, and swedish fish. turns out elaina's grandma was helping cater the event. i swear, this place is so small. you can't go anywhere without finding someone you know.
anyhow. we got to astoria and played around with cd's and stuff. got myself a big cd carrying case finally! and i swear to god someone else was in the car with us while this was going on... why can i not remember who it was?? michael maybe. i think we went to pick him up before we went to astoria. anyway, we ended up not buying the birthday present for david's mom, which was the whole reason we went over there. so after fred meyer, we went to pizza hut and played endless music on the jukebox. and then elaina and i wanted deep fried ice cream, so we went to the local mexican restraunt and ordered DFI - which earned us endless criticism from michael and david. so yeah. thennn we headed back and went over to joey's house for poker night! i had a bit to drink and sat next to kimbrough and watched him totally kick ass. tony was putting up a pretty good fight... joey got too drunk to play.. and kimbrough walked away with about $80. and then we drove home to make elaina's curfew again.
sunday... oh shoot... well eventually we ended up at funland around 4, and we picked up tony and david. elaina made tony drive my car because i guess i'm a bad driver? who knows. so we went to fred meyer again, this time actually bought david's mom her birthday present. and elaina and i got our starbucks! finally. we drove back to long beach and decided to take my buick out into the sand, where we saw greg driving around in his truck. tony showed us the only cool stunt my front-wheel drive buick can do, then elaina and i hopped out and greg drove us around while tony did god knows what with my buick. we met up again by the public restrooms, tony took off with his girlfriend and we went over to william's. watched kung pow and some of the blue collar comedy tour. david had to go home, elaina and michael drove him home in my buick and i stuck around at william's with allie and watched gilmore girls. awesome show. william drove me back to elaina's around 11 (curfew time!) and elaina and i watched the rest of the blue collar comedy tour. and holy shit that is the funniest stand up i've seen in a very long time. "they call me.. tater salad."
monday kind of sucked balls all day. everyone was working - everyone. i took david old chinese food for lunch and sat around on the docks talking to him for about an hour. then i went out to the beach with a blanket and a book and read by the ocean for another hour. but reading has gotten very boring this summer, so i soon got sick of that. but hey! i found a bead shop! it's the biggest bead shop i've ever found, and she'll be expanding the store soon. so i bought some black hemp and a bunch of beads, took it all back to elaina's, put on some music and made myself an awesome anklet. (it was later that william pointed out that the cool lines and dots on the beads i used were actually fish. i don't think i like the beads so much anymore.) my day picked up finally at 5 when matt called me up and i met him over at funland. (you should've seen him. he was so baked.) we sat around talking to kimbrough until he got off at 6. and we took pictures in the photo booth! i'll put that up sometime, if i ever get around to it. they're great. so once kimbrough got off, we drove over to astoria so he could get gas. and we stopped by the atm so i could get gas money for matt. why? 'cause he took me off roading! we put some gas in his huge ass with truck, then took off to a big mud pit that was nearby. he blasted the old school country tunes (where did you come from, where did you go? where did you come from cotton eye joe?) i can't explain it really well, but it was insanely exhilirating, bouncing all over the place, mud flying in all directions, me and michael bracing ourselves against each other and the ceiling with matt's stomping his feet to the music and smoking a cigarette. i loved every minute of it. then we did some cookies on the beach, got ourselves stuck in a hole and got back out, drove into town and stood around talking for a while. i got a little bored of that after a while and went to william's to watch sex and the city.. i don't really like that show though. so when elaina called i went over to michael's, picked them up and we headed over to bob's to what elaina called "the makin's of a good shindig." it wasn't too spectacular, but mostly because i was in a blah state of mind. william sat with me on the couch for a while. he hid under a smelly sleeping bag and told me how he didn't know/like half the people there, and basically kept me from going insane watching people play soul calibur. but eventually i got off my ass and played some pool. tony and i were on a team, and i played horribly. sort of. i only got to take 3 shots in the entire game - got a ball in on my first shot, F'd up the other two that tony tried to help me out with. he did the rest. (tony, by the way, is amazing. awesome guy. he beat up a bunch of sea lions with a metal baseball bat.) so now i feel ashamed of my pool abilities, and as soon as brent gets back from his road trip to california, i'm making him take me out to play pool.
and so then today (tuesday) i woke up, put on a hat and sunglasses, and hit the road. i got home around 3 (that's right.. i woke up at noon. i am a lazy ass!) took a shower and went to work, where rob was quoting the blue collar comedy tour. GIT 'R DONE! that's right. and then i watched nip/tuck at jamie's. i curled up with ryan on the couch, which was great because this summer has been terribly lonely. and nothing cures loneliness like cuddling with a gay guy.
so in a few hours i guess i'm going to get bitched out by my mom for not telling her where i was all day (um.. work? sorry.) and then i'll go to decatur and pick up my schedule. and tonight's the crew meeting, so i'll finally get my packet to register! whoop!. and elaina's coming up here this weekend. i'm not sure exactly what we'll do, except for going to wild waves, which she insists we have to do. oh, shoot me now...
